We are looking for a permanent candidate to join our consulting team as a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support our client, a leading international investment banking.

Responsibilities:

  • U.S. Regulatory Reporting Subject Matter Expert for FINRA Consolidated Audit Trail System (CAT), Large Options Position Reporting (LOPR), Electronic Blue Sheets, ACT/ ORF, TRACE, and SEC Rule 606 (Order Routing Reporting) and assist in part with Surveillance Reporting
  • Data Research and Analysis on production incidents, projects, or enhancements
  • Query data to understand regulatory changes' impact and test new flows
  • Coordinate all new U.S. regulatory reporting updates, establish requirements, and communicate with Front Office, Compliance, and Technology groups
  • Keep up to date with any new regulatory updates and attend any conferences pertinent to U.S. Regulatory reporting
  • Provide status reports to Senior Management regarding the current state of the regulatory reporting process, communicate upcoming changes and new regulations, and production issues/ resolution
  • Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and ensure development is done according to established requirements
  • Use strong communication skills (including verbal and written) to provide status reports to management regarding progress, issues, and risks related to the projects being coordinated
  • Facilitate End to end testing for any impact on regulatory reporting due to projects, enhancements, or new trading flows

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Must have 5+ years of professional experience working for a global financial institution performing IT business analysis (including analyzing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining trade reporting systems)
  • 5+ years of professional experience interfacing with business users and clients to gather requirements, analyze, document, validate, and develop technical or user process solutions
  • Knowledge of full order – trade lifecycle on Equity and Equity derivative products
  • 2+ years of professional experience testing database integration issues using relational database management systems (including Oracle and structured query language (SQL)) and ETL
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Python and Data frames
  • Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Desired skills:

  • Knowledge of regulatory trade reporting for Equities, Options, and Fixed Income in compliance with FINRA OATS, CAT, Blue Sheets, LOPR, TRF/ACT, and TRACE
  • Familiarity/ experience with public cloud architecture Azure/AWS
  • Manipulating data sets using Spark in a big data environment
  • Knowledge of order flows for institutional business, execution venues, algo
  • Knowledge of data quality and controls, and report reconciliations

The salary range for this role is US$90,000 - US$190,000
