The Talan consultant, who would be hired as a full-time employee of Talan, would be assisting one of our client on their ongoing projects.
We are looking for a talented and experienced IT Business Analyst with strong knowledge in electronic trading, credit and rates, for one of our multinational Investment Banking Clients in New York.
The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to work on high-status projects with particular focus on business requirements for the Credit and Rate Front Office.
The candidate will be the interaction with people at many levels of the organization, across multiple departments including the Front Office Business.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned,
Partner with the business and partner systems to understand strategies, identify underlying business needs and transform them into clear business and design requirements
Collaborate with development teams to analyze, design and test technology solutions to realize successful implementation
Producing test cases and managing full end to end user acceptance testing
Assist the business regarding their day to day process improvement requirement regarding functional topics (trading book management, position aggregation, resolution of order routing rejection, etc.)
Coordinating testing across multiple areas, products, and regions with project counterparts
Impact analysis of Technology / Process Change
Resolve day-day project issues and conflicting workload priorities
Assisting and supporting user community with change management
Negotiate and establish priorities with business and development managers
Track all deliverables between partner systems & development teams and ensure timelines & milestones are met in all project phases
Communicate with stakeholders on status of deliverables and flag potential risks and delays to projects
Produce detailed use cases to guide the design and development of applications
Required Qualifications
At least 7-10 years of business analysis & project management experience in front office
Solid experience in Electronic Trading, swap trading, market making, routing to exchange, alternate liquidity pools, co-location, FIX protocol/tags
Knowledge of the key functions and processes of a Delta One business
Experience working with traders and senior managers
Basic knowledge of US finance regulatory
Required experience
Significant Business Analysis / Project Management experience across the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment).
Proven delivery record of medium-large scale change projects involving process change and technology enhancements.
Projects involving end-to-end business flows within an Investment Bank or similar financial organization: Front office exposure, particularly within Rates and Credit.
