The candidate will join our consulting team in New York City in the Information Technology Division and work with the Global Markets Division of our client, which brings together the Equities, Fixed Income & Currencies and Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. The candidate will work directly with traders and structurers, in order to develop standard high quality tools that exceed their needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- You will sit on the trading desk, and assist traders in 3 key areas:
- Developing high quality original tools including:
- Pricing and decision-making tools
- Risk Management and position follow-up instruments
- Work with quantitative developers
- Trading strategies
- Be the “Go To Person” for the Traders and Structurers who are using the above tools
- Use your deep and broad expertise to improve the stability and safety of the tools
- Developing high quality original tools including:
Required Qualifications
Technical Skill Set:
- Strong programming skills
- Solid knowledge Object Oriented Languages (Java, Python, C# ...), must have experience using those languages in a professional environment.
- Solid knowledge of Database management tools (SQL)
- Knowledge on Excel VBA
- Broad financial knowledge (you understand how a Trading Business operates)
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline
- Previous experience working in market finance
- Team player
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Autonomy and Rigor
Desired Education and Experience:
- Ability to mentor junior colleagues
- Previous experience working in an environment showing analytical skills in order to quickly implement solutions for traders.
