SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER – Low Latency

We are currently looking for a permanent candidate to join our consulting team in New York as a Senior Java Developer - Low Latency.

 

The Talan consultant, who would be hired as a full-time employee of Talan and would join our client Technology team, a leading us bank located in Manhattan. The Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Maintain and enhance existing application trading low latency.
  • Actively participate to the rewrite of the application
  • Work collaboratively with the CORE development team in an agile mode
  • Write technical design and support documentation for the systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement appropriate development
  • Stay current with advances in technology in his/her area of expertise and improve knowledge of business lines and market specifics.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skill Set:

  • Fair knowledge of Financial Markets
  • Experience with Low Latency
  • Must have strong Java architecture and, Java development, object-oriented analysis and design experience.
  • Experience in C++ will be an added advantage

Required Education and Experience:

  • + 5 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Must have at least an Experience with low latency trading application development
