We are hiring a Business Analyst to deliver features for a Product in a business chain. As member of a Feature Team, the Business Analyst will work in autonomy and with a continuous improvement approach.
Main responsibilities:
Business Analysis
- Research to determine if solutions currently exist within or outside the business unit
- Design and validate solutions across both vendor and in-house application stacks
- Document changes for record archive and knowledge share purposes. Incorporate any business or compliance validation associated with a change, plus any and all supporting technical/empirical analysis.
- Consult with, and present and train, Production Support teams as part of handover and support protocols.
- Understand the client’s business objectives and to be a consulting partner in crafting business solutions using the Fidessa product suite
- Coordinate the equity execution technology, regulatory and strategic initiatives as well as the backlog of client enhancement requests
- Act as an SME (subject matter expert) on smart order routing technology and market side connectivity
- Leverage internal data flow and patterns to assist in changes and improvements to the smart order router and single broker platforms.
- Work closely with Business line management and technology team to ensure consistent stability and minimal latency in the underlying technology
- Ability to work closely and manage third party execution vendors.
Testing
- Assist with design and documentation of test cases with local and offshore QA teams
Deployment
- Facilitate and coordinate software deployments through the company CMRM (Change Management) process
- Assist in drafting release notes
Production support
- Supports inquiries, issues, and major events to identify root cause and resolution
- Ensures Support processes and practices given by the Support Chapters are applied by the team
Required skills
Critical Business Knowledge:
- Experience as a technical BA in finance
- Comprehensive understanding of US equity market structure
- Equities business knowledge – DMA, DSA, Program Trading, Synthetics, Trade reporting, Middle Office (confirmations and allocations)
- Deep understanding of order types and market access exercises
- TCA, Best Ex
- Market access and market data protocols
- Experience analyzing the technical aspects of US dark pools/ATS and/or single broker platforms
- Trading domain knowledge, including the mechanics of order routing and exchange rebate/credit tiers
- Knowledge of Fidessa
Compliance:
- RegNMS and RegNMS modifiers
- RegSHO, Short-sell restriction Regs, trading halts and force majeure
Technical:
- Strong: SQL, Excel and Visio
- Preferred: Python, R for data manipulation

The salary range for this role is US$90,000 - US$150,000
